Today, as I sat surrounded by the chaos of unpacked boxes and the lingering emotions of the past few months, I found myself reflecting on everything that had changed. Moving to Fairview on September 1st felt like a fresh start, but life has been anything but simple since then. Mom’s broken hip, the struggle of balancing work, and the decision to leave school weighed heavily on me. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t overwhelming.
Dropping out of school felt like a failure at first. It stung deeply, and I wrestled with feelings of disappointment. But as I sat with those emotions, I realized I couldn’t afford to dwell on what I couldn’t change. If I wanted to move forward, I had to focus on what I could do—not what I had to leave behind. Resilience isn’t about avoiding setbacks; it’s about finding a way to rise despite them.
I decided that this year would be about adopting new habits and self-motivation. Maybe it was an ambitious goal, given everything going on, but it felt necessary. An idea has been forming in the back of my mind—a website to share wellness coaching and guidance. The thought excites me, but I’d be lying if I said imposter syndrome didn’t rear its head. Who am I to coach others? Do I really have what it takes? These doubts echo in my mind, but something deeper keeps nudging me forward.
As I unpacked today, I kept coming back to this vision. It’s still blurry and undefined, but it’s there, waiting for me to muster the courage to act. Maybe it’s not about having all the answers right now. Maybe it’s about taking the first step and trusting that clarity will come with action.
Life feels heavy at the moment, but I’m holding onto hope. This new chapter is just beginning, and I’m determined to write it on my own terms. If I’ve learned anything through this whirlwind, it’s that resilience is a practice, not a destination. And today, I’m choosing to practice it. to WordPress. This is your first post.
